What ETeext does
ETeext turns plain text into more than 60 eye-catching styles — fancy fonts, Glitch and Zalgo — so your social media bios, posts, articles and even SMS & text messages stand out. Styling works offline; the AI tools are optional and need a connection.
Why ETeext It already exists — so what's the difference?
Yes, there are dozens of generators. Here's what they miss — and what ETeext does differently.
| What already exists | Their flaw | ETeextTHE DIFFERENCE |
|---|---|---|
| Plain convertersone field: you type, copy, and leave to paste elsewhere | No real editing, nothing familiar, and loads of back-and-forth if you want to mix styled texts with bubbles, arrows, emojis… | Almost a word processor: the familiar feel of Word, Google Docs, Apple Pages…, for styled text |
| “Single-line” generatorsbuilt for the Instagram bio | One line at a time, no mixing of styles or emojis in the same sentence | A real editor: several styles and emojis/symbols in a whole paragraph, in one pass |
| 100% online tools | No connection, no tool; the page reloads ads and trackers every visit | Offline-first: install it once, it works with no connection (plane, subway, dead zones) — nothing leaves your device unless you decide it does |
| Ad-crammed sites | Up to 70% of the screen in ads, plus tracking | 0 ads, 0 trackers |
| Keyboards to install | “Full Access” (can read everything you type), pricey subscriptions, ads, tofu ▯ at the reader's end, and mobile only — not on desktop | Nothing to install, nothing to spy on; Safe Mode avoids the squares |
| Text-to-image generators | They produce an image, not text: not editable, not pasteable, not readable by screen readers | Real Unicode text, that you paste and retype anywhere |
| Tools that drop accents | Most give up on most accented letters (Czech, Polish, Vietnamese…) | Styles every accent that decomposes (all of Vietnamese included) + a check |
| Siloed toolsone for mobile, another for desktop | One device = one tool, everything to relearn | The same ETeext everywhere: phone, tablet, Windows PC, Mac… |
The ease of a word processor, with style on top — offline, ad-free, on all your devices.

ETeext, the edge for desktop users — especially on Windows and Linux
On a phone, inserting an emoji or a symbol takes a second: the system keyboard handles it. On a computer, it's another story. On Windows, the emoji picker is limited and its font is aging — recent emojis sometimes show as little squares. On Linux, typing special characters depends on settings that are often missing. And for a symbol (→ ★ € ½ ✓) or bold text in a field that doesn't allow it? The system offers no simple way to do any of that.
ETeext fills that gap, right in your browser (Edge, Chrome, Brave, Firefox…).
An emoji and symbol palette that's finally within reach. Hundreds of emojis and symbols sorted into tabs, plus a Favorites tab that automatically surfaces the ones you use most. One click and it's inserted — no obscure shortcut, no Character Map.
Styled text that holds up everywhere. Bold, italic, fancy fonts, frames, effects: ETeext turns your text into real Unicode characters that survive copy-paste. You paste them as-is into a bio, a post, a username, a signature — where no formatting was possible before.
Built for the desktop. Mouse selection, copy-paste, share, undo/redo, export to .txt, and assisted-writing tools (translation, proofreading, hashtags). All in an installable, offline app: a real window, an icon, no dependency on an app store.
A controlled result. A selection of characters designed to display well, and a Safe Mode to maximize readability from one device to another — because beautiful text is useless if it shows as squares.
In short: what your operating system doesn't give you easily — emojis, symbols and styled text, a click away — ETeext gives you, on Windows, Linux and everywhere else.
LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X… these networks have one thing in common: their posting field accepts no formatting. You can't bold a word, highlight a title or make a clean list. The result: posts that drown in the feed. ETeext is the tool that unlocks this — and it's made to slot into a community manager's daily work, at the desk.
Make your posts stand out. A title in 𝗯𝗼𝗹𝗱, a key phrase in 𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘤, a call to action that catches the eye: real Unicode text that holds up in LinkedIn, Facebook and everywhere else, where the native editor allows nothing. A formatted post draws the eye — and engagement.
Structure without layout tools. Bullets, arrows, separators, checks (▸ 👉 ✅ •) to structure and pace a post: the “layout” that social networks don't offer.
Emojis in one click. A full palette + the Favorites tab that surfaces your most-used emojis: no more hunting for a character, you compose faster, all from the keyboard.
Your writing tasks in one place. Translation (to run a multilingual community), proofreading (typo-free posts = a pro image), hashtag generation, tone adaptation per network — a CM's daily routine, built into the editor.
A result that works everywhere. Safe Mode maximizes readability from one device to another: your audience sees clean posts, not squares.
Bottom line: ETeext turns the “plain text” constraint of social networks into an editorial advantage. It's the community manager's desktop Swiss Army knife — style, illustrate, proofread and publish faster, with more impact.

Frequently asked questions
Do the styles work on Instagram, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, VK / VKontakte…?
Yes. Styled text relies on standard Unicode characters that can be copied and displayed as-is on most social networks.
There are already other font generators — why ETeext?
Yes, dozens exist — but most style only one line, output an image, drop your accents, or bury you in ads. ETeext is a real editor: whole paragraphs, mixed styles, true Unicode, offline, no ads or tracking.
What styles, effects and typographic modifiers does ETeext offer?
ETeext is a real toolkit: more than 60 styles and effects organized into 5 categories, plus a library of emojis and symbols:
- Basic styles (bold, italic, gothic, monospace, small caps)
- Fancy script (cursive, calligraphy, handwriting)
- Frames (bubble, circled, squared)
- Underlines
- Zalgo (glitch, corrupted)
Do styled hashtags actually work?
It depends on the platform, and nothing tells you which. A styled character isn’t the letter it imitates: some platforms convert styled text back to plain before matching, others don’t — and that can change at their next update. The habit: keep plain what machines read (hashtags, @mentions, links, keywords) and style what eyes look at (your hook, your separators).
Is ETeext free?
Yes. ETeext offers a permanent free version, a full time-limited trial of the PRO plan, and a paid PRO subscription (pricing on the dedicated page) that unlocks all styles, effects and features.
What is Zalgo text?
Zalgo is a “glitch” text effect with a real “wow” factor: it stacks marks above and below letters to create a chaotic, eerie look that's popular on social media.
How can you surprise people and stand out with a “wow” effect online?
ETeext is exactly the toolbox for that: more than 60 different styles and effects — underlines, frames, special bullets, fancy fonts and above all the spectacular Zalgo — to transform your text and catch every eye.
What's the difference between the free version and the PRO plan?
After a full time-limited trial, the free version stays usable permanently with a selection of basic styles — for example Bold Sans-Serif, Italic, Gothic, Monospace and Small Caps, a few frames and emojis. The PRO plan unlocks all the other styles and effects (Cursive, Squared, Circled, Zalgo…), the AI tools, saving (Save and My Notes), Export of your text to a UTF-8 TXT file, and signature customization.
Are the generated/enhanced texts sent to a server?
No, except when using the AI features: ETeext is LOCAL-FIRST, your text stays stored in the browser, with no transfer to a third-party cloud.
Can I save and reuse styled text?
Yes. Several options are available:
- Styled texts stay available locally in the browser for reuse, by saving with Save.
- Saved texts are found in My Notes (note however that this data is stored in your browser cache — if you clear the cache, it disappears).
- Share is a familiar function that sends the text to another app and does whatever that allows. The button only appears if your device can share; otherwise it is simply absent from the bar.
- Export lets you save it to a UTF-8 .TXT file.
Note: these capabilities are not available in FREE and are reserved for PRO.
