How to keep accents when styling text
Type « café » into most fancy-text generators and the accent vanishes or turns into a box. Accented letters (é, à, ç, ñ, ü…) are where many tools fail. ETeext is built to keep them intact.
Why accents break elsewhere
Many generators only map the 26 basic A–Z letters to a fancy set, so anything with an accent falls through — it’s dropped, replaced by a plain letter, or shown as an empty square. Some effects also stack marks that pile up badly on an already-accented letter.
How ETeext keeps them
ETeext maps accented characters too, and treats them with the same care as plain letters. Your é stays an é. And if a recipient's device can't display a very decorative character, Safe Mode falls back to a readable version instead of a square.
Keep your accents in 3 steps
- Type your accented text Write normally in ETeext, accents and all — é, à, ç, ñ, ü and the rest.
- Apply a style Pick a style: ETeext restyles the accented letters too, so nothing is dropped or flattened.
- Check with Safe Mode if needed Sending to a device that shows squares? Turn on Safe Mode before styling to keep everything readable.

Frequently asked questions
Which accented languages are supported?
The Latin accents of European languages — French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Polish and more (é, à, ç, ñ, ü, ł…).
Will the accents show up everywhere?
On most devices, yes. On a few older or non-Latin-optimized devices a very decorative character may show as a square — turn on Safe Mode to avoid that.
What if I still see empty squares?
That's « tofu », a device-side display issue. Enable Safe Mode before styling and your text stays readable everywhere.
